1. CV IN HET NEDERLANDS

Sébastien Ramu is advocaat en deed ervaring op binnen een advocatenkantoor en in de magistratuur. Hij is gespecialiseerd in internationale betrekkingen, met interesse voor mensenrechten en humanitair recht. Vòòr zijn toetreding tot het Verbond ter Preventie van Foltering (APT), heeft hij met name gewerkt als juridisch raadgever bij de Tijdelijke Internationale Aanwezigheid in Hebron (TIPH) and als Functionaris voor Mensenrechten bij de VN-missie in de Democratische Republiek Congo (MONUC). Ramu werkte ook voor verschillende NGOs.

Avocat de sa formation, et avec une expérience à la fois dans un cabinet d’avocat et dans la magistrature, M. Sébastien Ramu dispose d’un diplôme supérieur universitaire en relations internationales, avec un intérêt particulier pour les droits de l’homme et le droit humanitaire. Avant de rejoindre l’Association pour la Prévention de la Torture, il a notamment travaillé en tant que Conseiller juridique à la Présence internationale temporaire dans la ville d’Hebron (TIPH) et en qualité d’Officier droits de l’homme au sein de la Mission des Nations Unies en République Démocratique du Congo (MONUC). M. Ramu a aussi travaillé dans différentes ONG.

Trained as a lawyer with experience in both a law firm and the judiciary, Mr. Sébastien Ramu has an advanced university degree in international relations with a specific focus on international human rights and humanitarian law. Prior to joining the Association for the Prevention of Torture, he notably worked as Legal Adviser at the Temporary International Presence in the City of Hebron (TIPH) and as Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC), as well as with different nongovernmental organizations.
